a little summary readers (if interested ;w;) should know about the prologue though. idk its a little tall. anyway, (Working on the first page though! C:>) These guys live in a closed-off valley called Okai, and they've been living in that valley for about 200 years. It is said that before that, Okai used to be unpopulated and undiscovered. A unicorn king from beyond the mountains at this time (Vasilis) found this magical rock thing (that had a 'lock' shaped like a hoof) that can open a portal if you insert the right 'key' (aka hoof) into the 'lock.' (which is an opening in the rock btw) Vasilis looked though his entire kingdom and then found a horse that could open it, a stallion named Thanos. A portal opened and the king sent Thanos, Thano's mate, his brother Dion, and two other couples to populate the other side of the mountain, which became Okai. They lived happily and formed a herd and etc. there was tons of grass and life was pretty good. Even though Dion was lonely, he was welcome to the herd. Soon, he became jealous of his brother because Thanos always seemed happy and was the lead stallion and all, Dion was a nobody. He then plotted to kill Thanos multiple times, which got him banished. He turned too rotten, he died in some quicksand at a desolate corner of Okai, and nobody ever heard from him again. Actually, soon, they did. Because he had so much hatred and jealousy in his heart, he turned into something called a Void, which looks like this:

anyway, he then wanted revenge, naturally. He started attacking his brother's herd, and whenever he killed someone, they turned Void just like him. He actually devoured them. Soon he had a little army of Void-lings ready at his heels xD sooo Thano's mate (who had some experience with magic) created those little belts that can kill, or at least repel, the Void using a flashing light. (The Void are more like shadows, but only this special type of light can be effective against them) Then Dion wanted to devour his brother. If he did, he would be able to open the portal and head back through the mountains and invade the unicorn king's domain and cause mass destruction. He wanted to create a world just for the Void, and kill off everything that's made him the way he is. Thanos sensed this, so he and the other two couples hurried and escaped Okai, sealing off the portal (Thanos was the key, and with him gone there was no key, in other words.) He didn't want his brother to go on with his plan. Dion was defeated, but there was still a chance for him. Thanos's decedents, who remained in Okai, were now called the Ashk. And there was a prophecy among them, that one day, an Heir Savoir would appear with the same mark as Thanos, their ancestor, and they would be able to open the portal and leave Okai (which was turning into desert slowly) Every foal that was born had their hooves checked. Dion knew this, and he was eager for the Heir Savior to arrive. After all, he had all the time in the world. The decedents of the other two couples split and became the Blue Guard and the Red Guard, who slowly turned to hate each other xD

beards and mustache for horses! :D I support! (omg jk xD) anyway, they're such prejudice-heads, they don't let mares become part of the council 3: meanies. oh well. i guess the look on the brown and grey one alone would be enough to frighten people. xD maybe.
the black one is the 'nicest' one, and he's also the oldest and the leader. I wonder why he didn't lose his mane color though? :O hmmm suspicious!
